It was a really nice day here and a perfect evening for a hike. We went up the canyon five minutes from home. We picked a nice spot to rest and took our picture of the day at the same time. Me and the tripod were in the middle of the creek for this shot.

1/4s f/14.1 at 70.0mm iso100 with Flash full exif

I always laugh at My outfit in this picture. Hot pink and camo! What a combination! What can I say? When I am out hiking I am not out to win any fashion contest that's for sure!

Jacquie, this is just a single image. Wanda is getting good at staying still. I knew that to get the little fall to blur I would need a shutter speed down in the 1/4 to 1/2 second range. So, I added a polarizer filter to lose about a stop and a half and then stopped down until I had a 1/4 second shutter speed. I added a little fill flash which also helps freeze up things.

How did you get her so clear? She is very good at holding still. Or did you take 2 pictures and then put them together? Beautiful shot as usual :-)

one of the things I like best about your shots of wanda, is that I get a great sense of her personality. probably the model deserves some credit for this, too.
